Best Year, Best Advice, Best Mentors, Best activities

Many of you liked the "Best list" I did last November. So I guess I should do another to kick off for this year.

BEST Year: It has to be 2016. I bought my very own house. OK it's really only a 2 bedroom condo. But it's in the east & now it has already appreciated in value. Renting it out at the moment & the rental covers for the mortgage & other expenses like management fee etc.... My boy friend had very graciously gave me a sum of money for the down payment! It was such a wonderful gift. And he didn't even need his name to be included in the legal documents. Love you baby!👄

BEST Advice: "A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush !" My dad had cheekily advise my eldest brother during his uni days. He was really popular with the girls back then, & he kept going out with different ones every week. Until my dad steps in & gave him this advice. I don't understand why this advice which was really for my brother left such a deep impression on me. Maybe because I see how it affected him. In deed he listened to dad. Stuck with one girl ( the smartest one ) They are happily married now. My sister-in-law is the best thing that could have ever happen to my brother.

For my case , I met my bf some years ago in Hawaii. He was like a goofy beach bum then. But I stayed with him through out, though there were many distractions along the way ...haha... After he finished his school there, he came back & we had been together ever since. He's not perfect but he's good enough:) Well one thing for sure , my family & all my friends love him, so that can't be wrong right?

BEST Mentors : My family, my bf & mostly my friends from school. The exposure & opportunities one gets from working in the airline is wonderful. You need school friends who were with you from the start when you were not so "glamorous", to keep you down to earth! That's what my friends did. They are honest & funny & they reminded me of who I really am.

BEST Activity for January & February: Travel to a winter country, experience the snow, take lovely winter pictures. I love working during this time of the year. I get to go to all the cold places without having to pay a single cent! Lovely!

Christmas gifts

My sister just texted me & said she's getting me this for Christmas.

I thank her, it's very cute. Then my brother started commenting this is an old design- (that's the problem with group chats!) Sis got really mad & the SMS fuel started. This was 4 days ago & I was in Europe. It's still raging , now that I'm back.

That's the problem with family. We have so much history, when something goes wrong, there's so much dirt one can dig out, & it takes days & there's still more. Finally I told my brother off. What's with guys these days? Why can't they just apologize & shut up. Now my sis said she's waiting to see what he gets for all of us since he's so vocal about her choice of gifts.

As always the smart ass he is, he just announced he's bringing us for a Christmas dinner, but didn't elaborate where. Sis said if it's some cheapo joint, she's not going. It has to be at least in a Michelin starred restaurant. Well I'm all for that !

BEST Comfort Food, BEST Wedding Song, BEST Guilty Pleasure, BEST Adventure

My cousin had a project from school, she wanted me to 'help' her, it's a kind of interview that's pretty common these days. You'll see versions of it usually in magazines, where they use to interview celebrities. It's fun, so I willingly participate. Not sure what's the project is for, didn't ask & she didn't elaborate. Frankly, my cousin is brilliant, she's majoring in communications (I think) in UCLA. Well below is part of the interview, thought I just reproduce it here.

BEST Comfort Food: Peanut Butter, with extra butter on a piece of toasted bread. I know it's super fattening but it just tasted so good & rich, it'll literally chase the blues away. Complete it with a cup of piping hot black coffee, I'm in heaven :))

BEST Wedding Song: Your Song by Elton John. There are many romantic songs out there, perfect for weddings, but I do have a soft spot for this particular one. It has to be the original version when Elton John's voice still sounded young & perfect. Now his voice kinda matures & when he does this song these days it has a different feel. Still beautiful but not as romantic & sweet.

BEST Guilty Pleasure: Chilling with good friends, Drinking lots & lots of good champagne with baked pasta, getting drunk & laughing my head off about nothing in particular!

BEST Adventure: I was kinda burnt out from my job. Took a flight to Hawaii & stayed there for almost a month on my own. Met my would be boy friend there in the hotel elevator & had the best unplanned vacation of all times.

What you do when a good friend is in need of a shoulder to cry on- in the middle of the night?? Well you show up right? That's what friends are for. I ask her ,want me to come over to your place? It's already like 1.20 am at that time. No she said, lets meet at Starbucks. StarBucks ? at past midnight? Yup ....

I didn't know Starbucks operate 24 hours, apparently this one does, it's at United Square. Look.... ok this pic was taken the next day. Apparently one night is not enough to sort out her issue. We meet up again the next day at the same Starbucks @ United Square (dinner time) , as I'm really beginning to love this place! Look at how beautiful it is! Sometimes the place does matters. The coffee & muffins can make everything seems better.

This Starbucks is lovely isnt it? Ceiling is so high!

Cute bread from Bread Society, Ion

My friend Lora, came over to my place last night & she brought some snacks from ION for me. Some bread from Bread society.

Isn't the green one too adorable ? This picture was taken by her, of the other breads they have in the store. Just look at them. Would you bare to eat any of them? So cute right? Me & my mum were looking at them & going all " ...oh so cute , can't bare to eat ...etc ...etc........" When my brother came over, didn't even take a second look & just took one of these green cuties & started munching on it. I almost screamed out in pain! Then my dad came over to see what's the commotion about. The he said, why would anyone make green bread ... & who would eat green bread anyway?

My mum, Lora & me just stared at them in disbelief! Men !!!! They just don't understand do they?

GarbaSlim reduce waist size ?

It has been 2 weeks. I have not weigh myself. My weighing machine is not working, just when I needed it most. But I feel my body shrinking to my original size. Feels so good & nice in my uniform! Bess has shrunk more than me. It's probably due to the Vitamin D jab she took along with the panbesy & garbaslim.

She looks really good. Yesterday we went shopping for new clothes. She said she's changing her wardrobe to celebrate her new silhouette. She even looks taller ! It's funny how when you lose weight, you look taller. She has lose 1 dress size within 2 weeks. I never notice how tiny her waist is, before now. Was it the Garbaslim fat burner? It did say it will reduce waist size. What ever it is, it's just wonderful it's working!

Taking panbesy, duromine & Garbaslim for fast weight loss !

I did not want to do this, but I seriously need to lose some weight FAST ! Went to my doctor for help. Once I told my friends I'm going to get some panbesy, everyone is interested. What's it with us girls? We were talking about this in the galley & my male colleague was saying there's a time where "being plump " is consider beautiful. Just look at all the paintings during the Renaissance Era- all of full bodied women.

Well this is 2017, & we think differently now don't we? A passenger just ask me, do the airlines ground crew if they find you over weight? That got me a little concern, did he find me fat ? Is he trying to "hint" to me to get some help, lose a few kgs ? However my friends said he's just trying to "get my number". You don't ask about such things if you want to ask a girl out, do you ? Hmmm.... maybe he's just unique.

Anyway, before it get any worse. I went to see Dr Keith. 2 of my other colleagues, came along. We saw Dr Keith Ong, complain to him about our jobs, our weight & a list of other things. Bess said this will make him feel bad & give us what we want. 
It works !!!! We left the clinic each with supplies of panbesy, duromine & an effective fat burner GarbaSlim. Some of my other friends were already on GarbaSlim, said it's effective. So we needed that.
Bess took the Vitamin D jab to enhance the slimming effect further.

So happy, mission accomplished, we went for Italian food after that to celebrate ....lol....
Hope to lose some week within a week.
