What's your fashion style ?

We were shopping & my friend complained that I'm always buying variations of the same thing. Do I? Guess she's right. I can't help it. Besides everyone has their own style right?

For me, comfort is very important. I do not like tight fitting clothes. Besides clothes do not have to be tight to appear sexy. I also tend to gravitate towards interesting colors, not too bright though. Black, white & those mono tones are fine with me. I love mini skirts but very long skirts looks great on me too. Love heels, I'll never wear anything flat if I can help it.

I love Diane Keaton's style. She still look fabulous in her 70s. I want to be like that in 50 years time haha...

What you really want to do with your life ?

We were hanging out in the galley during one of those long flights & as usual talking about just about anything. The chief suddenly announced he had enough, he's going to quit! Well he has been saying that for as long as I've known him.... years ...lol...

The youngest colleague looked almost shock! She had just started her career, full of hope & promises & now the chief is quitting? I assure her, he's not going to. He's too used to the life style. No more jet setting to Europe, he'll die! He wholeheartedly agree  ...lol...

Chief said if he could turn back the clock, he will do a little more backpacking to experience the world. Now he's too used to the 5 star hotels ....lol.... Another senior crew said if she's still in her 20s, she'll stop caring what others think or said. Life's too short to have to worry about these nonsense.

What about me? If I was given a chance to start all over again I'll probably study harder have better grades & work in a bank, perhaps? Then when I'm working in the bank, I'll most probably be thinking, wish I was flying instead ....lol..

Then junior crew said 'That's the problem with us right? Why can't we just be contented with what we are doing now?'
We all looked at her ... wow ... can you imagine , so young & so wise already !!!

A most relaxing vacation .... is what I needed

Had a most relaxing vacation ever. I didn't do anything. Just chill. Read a book, go spa, do some yoga, eat & drink champagne.... haha.. more of a sparkling wine . But that'll do! I'm done with hitting all the tourist spots, or shopping.  Those kind of vacations are too tiring.

Vitamin D jab enhance weight loss, makes me feel GREAT !

Remember my friend went to Dr Keith for the Vitamin D jab to enhance her weight loss? Well she loves it. She say it really does wonders for her. Now she just stay on that & Garbaslim the fat burner. That way she eliminate all the usual side effects from slimming meds.

She sent me this picture to prove her point! Hmmm.... I'm swayed now. Should I just go ahead & do it too? Well Vitamin D is good for a lot of things, but this effect of enhancing losing weight is seriously interesting. At least to all girls, I guess.

I'm a sucker for such things. OK, I'm convinced. I did that like last week. And guess what? I do feel awesome since ....

Best Year, Best Advice, Best Mentors, Best activities

Many of you liked the "Best list" I did last November. So I guess I should do another to kick off for this year.

BEST Year: It has to be 2016. I bought my very own house. OK it's really only a 2 bedroom condo. But it's in the east & now it has already appreciated in value. Renting it out at the moment & the rental covers for the mortgage & other expenses like management fee etc.... My boy friend had very graciously gave me a sum of money for the down payment! It was such a wonderful gift. And he didn't even need his name to be included in the legal documents. Love you baby!👄

BEST Advice: "A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush !" My dad had cheekily advise my eldest brother during his uni days. He was really popular with the girls back then, & he kept going out with different ones every week. Until my dad steps in & gave him this advice. I don't understand why this advice which was really for my brother left such a deep impression on me. Maybe because I see how it affected him. In deed he listened to dad. Stuck with one girl ( the smartest one ) They are happily married now. My sister-in-law is the best thing that could have ever happen to my brother.

For my case , I met my bf some years ago in Hawaii. He was like a goofy beach bum then. But I stayed with him through out, though there were many distractions along the way ...haha... After he finished his school there, he came back & we had been together ever since. He's not perfect but he's good enough:) Well one thing for sure , my family & all my friends love him, so that can't be wrong right?

BEST Mentors : My family, my bf & mostly my friends from school. The exposure & opportunities one gets from working in the airline is wonderful. You need school friends who were with you from the start when you were not so "glamorous", to keep you down to earth! That's what my friends did. They are honest & funny & they reminded me of who I really am.

BEST Activity for January & February: Travel to a winter country, experience the snow, take lovely winter pictures. I love working during this time of the year. I get to go to all the cold places without having to pay a single cent! Lovely!

Christmas gifts

My sister just texted me & said she's getting me this for Christmas.

I thank her, it's very cute. Then my brother started commenting this is an old design- (that's the problem with group chats!) Sis got really mad & the SMS fuel started. This was 4 days ago & I was in Europe. It's still raging , now that I'm back.

That's the problem with family. We have so much history, when something goes wrong, there's so much dirt one can dig out, & it takes days & there's still more. Finally I told my brother off. What's with guys these days? Why can't they just apologize & shut up. Now my sis said she's waiting to see what he gets for all of us since he's so vocal about her choice of gifts.

As always the smart ass he is, he just announced he's bringing us for a Christmas dinner, but didn't elaborate where. Sis said if it's some cheapo joint, she's not going. It has to be at least in a Michelin starred restaurant. Well I'm all for that !

My cousin had a project from school, she wanted me to 'help' her, it's a kind of interview that's pretty common these days. You'll see versions of it usually in magazines, where they use to interview celebrities. It's fun, so I willingly participate. Not sure what's the project is for, didn't ask & she didn't elaborate. Frankly, my cousin is brilliant, she's majoring in communications (I think) in UCLA. Well below is part of the interview, thought I just reproduce it here.

BEST Comfort Food: Peanut Butter, with extra butter on a piece of toasted bread. I know it's super fattening but it just tasted so good & rich, it'll literally chase the blues away. Complete it with a cup of piping hot black coffee, I'm in heaven :))

BEST Wedding Song: Your Song by Elton John. There are many romantic songs out there, perfect for weddings, but I do have a soft spot for this particular one. It has to be the original version when Elton John's voice still sounded young & perfect. Now his voice kinda matures & when he does this song these days it has a different feel. Still beautiful but not as romantic & sweet.

BEST Guilty Pleasure: Chilling with good friends, Drinking lots & lots of good champagne with baked pasta, getting drunk & laughing my head off about nothing in particular!

BEST Adventure: I was kinda burnt out from my job. Took a flight to Hawaii & stayed there for almost a month on my own. Met my would be boy friend there in the hotel elevator & had the best unplanned vacation of all times.
